What does this policy cover?
This policy covers copyright infringement and image rights violations in content published on Morgenbericht (morgenbericht.de), operated by Morgenberich Media Ltd., a private company registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009). It explains how to submit a takedown request and what happens after we receive one.
We take claims of unauthorised use of copyrighted material, photographs, illustrations, and other protected works seriously. Our process applies to all editorial content, including articles, images, videos, and infographics.
How can I report copyright infringement?
If you believe that material published on Morgenbericht infringes your copyright or image rights, please send a written notice to our copyright team at copyright@morgenberich.de or to the postal address of Morgenberich Media Ltd., Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000, Malta.
We ask that you include all information listed below to help us process your request promptly. We will acknowledge receipt within five business days and investigate the claim without undue delay.
What information must a takedown notice include?
Your notice must contain sufficient information for us to locate the allegedly infringing material and verify your ownership. Specifically, please provide:
- Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A clear identification of the copyrighted work or image right you claim has been infringed, including, where possible, a registration number or proof of authorship.
- The exact URL(s) on Morgenbericht where the allegedly infringing material appears. If multiple pages are involved, provide a representative list.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act on the rights holder’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We may request additional documentation if the notice is incomplete or unclear.
What happens after we receive a valid notice?
Once we receive a complete and valid takedown notice, we will review it and, if appropriate, remove or disable access to the disputed material. We will notify the user who posted the content (if applicable) of the removal and provide them with a copy of the notice.
We also inform the complainant of the action taken. If the affected user believes the removal was in error, they may submit a counter-notification explaining why the material should be restored. We will process counter-notifications in accordance with applicable law.
What about image rights?
Image rights claims – including unauthorised use of photographs, portraits, or other visual works – follow the same procedure as copyright claims. Please submit a notice to copyright@morgenberich.de with the same required information, specifying that the complaint concerns image rights.
Morgenbericht sources images from licensed databases, freelance contributors, and rights-cleared archives. If you believe an image has been used without proper permission, we will investigate and act promptly.

We handle all takedown requests transparently and in a timely manner. Our goal is to respect the rights of creators while maintaining the integrity of our journalism. We will never ignore a properly submitted notice.

How do we handle false claims?
Knowingly submitting a false takedown notice may expose the complainant to legal liability, including costs and damages. We reserve the right to report fraudulent claims to the relevant authorities and to pursue legal remedies.
If we determine that a claim is made in bad faith – for example, to suppress legitimate journalism or criticism – we will reject it and may publicly note the abuse.
