Unsere Geschichte

Why was Morgenbericht founded?

Morgenbericht was launched in 2024 by Morgenberich Media Ltd. to fill a gap in Swedish news coverage: clear, practical reporting for readers who want context without noise. The Swedish and international audience was underserved by outlets that either oversimplify complex issues or bury them in spin.

The company, registered in Gibraltar (company number C 92009, Malta Business Registry) with an office in Valletta, recognised that busy professionals, expats and Swedish-speaking readers abroad needed a source that explains policies, economics and cultural shifts in plain language without sacrificing depth. Every article is designed to help you understand why something matters — not just what happened.

Who is responsible for what we publish?

Editorial responsibility rests with Chefredaktör Christian Busch, who sets the editorial standards and makes final decisions on publication and corrections. He works with a structured team divided into desks: newsroom management, politics, economy, culture and society, and a dedicated fact-checking unit.

The desk structure is detailed on our Our Team page. Redaktionschef Christina Hoffmann oversees the daily newsroom and headline review. Politikredaktör Oliver Schmitt covers the Riksdag, government and municipal politics. Wirtschaftreporter Anna Möller handles economy, markets and household finance. Kultur- och samhällsredaktör Martin Franke leads culture and lifestyle coverage. Helena Jäger is responsible for fact-checking, source verification and corrections. Every article carries a named writer, is reviewed by an editor and fact-checked before publication.

What you can expect from us

You can expect every piece to be clearly sourced, fact-checked and signed with a real byline. When we get something wrong, we correct it openly and promptly. Our editorial philosophy under Christian Busch is straightforward: trustworthy journalism that helps readers understand complex issues without spin or oversimplification.

We publish a detailed Editorial Policy and a Sources & Standards page that explains how we select and verify information. AI-assisted tools may support research or drafting but never replace human editorial judgement; every published item is approved by a human editor. Our Corrections Policy and Fact-Checking Policy outline exactly how we handle mistakes and oversight.

How is Morgenbericht funded?

Morgenbericht is funded through display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing. Sponsored or commercial material is always clearly labelled, and affiliate links are disclosed. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions.

Full financial transparency is available on our Ownership & Funding page. We believe readers deserve to know who pays for the journalism they consume, and we impose a strict firewall between business interests and editorial decisions. Our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure and Sponsored Content Policy provide further detail.
