Richtlinie zu KI & Automatisierung

This page explains how Morgenbericht uses artificial intelligence and automated tools in our journalism. Our approach is simple: technology supports our work, but every piece of editorial content is reviewed and approved by a human editor before publication. We set strict boundaries to maintain trust and transparency.

How does Morgenbericht use AI and automation?

AI-assisted tools may support research, drafting, formatting, translation, metadata creation, headline options, summaries, and transcription. These tools help our journalists work more efficiently, but they never replace human editorial judgement. Every article published on Morgenbericht is written by a named journalist, reviewed by an editor, and fact-checked before it goes live. No automated system decides what we publish or how we frame a story.

We treat AI as a productivity aid – similar to a calculator in maths or a spellchecker in writing. The final responsibility for accuracy, fairness, and clarity always rests with our editorial team.

Who is responsible for what we publish?

Christian Busch, our Chefredaktör (anders.lindqvist@morgenbericht.de, +46 8 525 030 61), is ultimately accountable for all editorial standards, publication decisions, and corrections. He oversees the entire newsroom and ensures that every article meets our quality benchmarks before it appears on the site.

Our fact-checking team, led by Helena Jäger (emma.sandberg@morgenbericht.de), verifies sources and data in every story. Editors such as Christina Hoffmann (Redaktionschef) review headlines and commission pieces. No AI tool can bypass these human checkpoints. For details on our editorial process, see our Editorial Policy and Fact‑Checking Policy.

What you can expect from us

You can expect honest, transparent journalism where every article carries a named author and an editor’s approval. We will never use AI to fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience, or expert profiles. If we use AI in any stage of production, we disclose it clearly. Our Our Team page lists the journalists behind the work, and our Contact page allows you to reach the right desk with questions.

Sponsored or commercial content is always labelled, and affiliate links are disclosed. Commercial relationships never determine editorial conclusions – our mission is trustworthy Swedish journalism that helps readers understand complex issues without spin.

What is strictly prohibited?

We forbid the following uses of AI in our editorial process:

  • Fabrication of any direct quotes, attributed statements, or interview content
  • Creation of fictional sources, experts, or individuals
  • Generation of full articles without human review and approval
  • Use of AI to replace named bylines or invent author credentials
  • Automated decision-making that influences editorial direction or story selection

Any breach of these rules is treated as a serious editorial failure. Our team follows these guidelines rigorously.

How are commercial relationships handled?

Morgenbericht is funded through display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing. All sponsored or commercial material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent journalism. Affiliate links are disclosed in accordance with industry standards. These commercial relationships never influence what we cover or how we cover it. For full details, see our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure and Ownership & Funding pages.

Questions or concerns?

If you have any concerns about how we use AI or automation, or if you spot something in an article that raises questions, please contact our editorial team. You can reach the relevant desk directly through our Contact page. For corrections or complaints, write to corrections@morgenbericht.de or complaints@morgenbericht.de. Our Chefredaktör Christian Busch is also available for editorial accountability queries. We take every inquiry seriously and will respond promptly.
