Who owns Morgenbericht?

Morgenbericht is owned and operated by Nordklar Media Ltd, a private company registered in Gibraltar with company number C 92009. The registered office is at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000, and the company is listed on the Malta Business Registry.

Nordklar Media Ltd was founded in 2024 and is the sole corporate entity behind Morgenbericht (morgenbericht.de). The company does not have external investors, parent organisations, or state ownership. All strategic decisions are made by the company’s directors, who are based in Sweden and Gibraltar and who have committed to keeping the publication independent from any political party, trade association, or lobbying group. You can read more about the broader mission of the publication on our About Us page.

How is Morgenbericht funded?

Morgenbericht is funded through a mix of display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships, and content licensing arrangements. No single revenue stream dominates, and the funding model is designed to sustain independent journalism without reliance on public subsidies or corporate underwriting.

All sponsored or commercial material is clearly labelled – for example as “sponsored” or “advertisement” – and affiliate links are disclosed in accordance with our Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure. Funding sources never determine editorial conclusions; the editorial team has full control over what is published, and commercial relationships are kept at arm’s length from news decisions. For details on how we handle sponsored content, please see our Sponsored Content Policy.

How is editorial independence ensured?

Editorial independence is guaranteed by a firewall between the business and editorial operations at Morgenbericht. The Chefredaktör (editor-in-chief) holds final authority over all editorial content and publication decisions, and no commercial partner or advertiser has input into what we write, when we publish, or how we frame stories.

The company’s governance structure explicitly states that Christian Busch, as Chefredaktör, is accountable for editorial standards and is the final arbiter of any content-related dispute. He reports to the board of Nordklar Media Ltd, but the board has agreed not to interfere with editorial judgement. This independence is further reinforced by our Editorial Policy and our Fact-Checking Policy, both of which are publicly available and updated regularly.

Who is responsible for what we publish?

Christian Busch, Chefredaktör, is the person ultimately accountable for everything published on Morgenbericht. He oversees editorial standards, publication decisions, and corrections. You can find his full biography and contact details on our Our Team page.

Day-to-day responsibility is delegated: Redaktionschef Christina Hoffmann runs the newsroom and reviews headlines; Politikredaktör Oliver Schmitt covers riksdag, government, and municipal politics; Wirtschaftreporter Anna Möller handles economy and markets; Kultur- och samhällsredaktör Martin Franke manages culture and society; and Helena Jäger leads fact‑checking and source verification. Every article is reviewed by an editor and fact‑checked before publication, ensuring that human editorial judgement remains central even when AI‑assisted tools are used for research or drafting.

What you can expect from us

At Morgenbericht, you can expect transparent reporting, clear sourcing, and a commitment to correcting errors promptly. We label all content honestly – whether news, analysis, opinion, or sponsored material – and we never use clickbait or sensationalism to attract attention.

Our editorial mission is to deliver trustworthy Swedish journalism that helps readers understand complex issues without spin or oversimplification. Every piece is written by a named journalist, reviewed by an editor, and fact‑checked. If we make a mistake, we own it and correct it openly. You can read our Corrections Policy and our Sources & Standards page for further details.
