Beschwerdeverfahren

We appreciate your trust in Morgenbericht. This page explains how to submit a complaint about our journalism, how we handle it, and how to escalate if needed. For corrections to specific articles, please see our Corrections Policy; for data handling, see our Privacy Policy.

How do I submit a complaint?

Please send your complaint by email to complaints@morgenberich.de. Include the article title, the date it was published, the nature of your concern, and any supporting evidence or context. You may also provide your contact details if you wish to receive a direct reply.

If you prefer a different channel, you can use the general contact form on our Contact page, but submissions via the complaints email are processed fastest. We aim to acknowledge receipt within two business days.

Who handles my complaint?

Our fact-checking team, led by Helena Jäger (Ansvarig för faktagranskning), reviews every complaint. She is responsible for source verification, accuracy checks, and coordinating with the relevant editor or reporter.

For matters involving editorial standards or publication decisions, Christian Busch, our Chefredaktör, oversees the process. The team may consult the reporter, the section editor, or external experts as needed. All reviews are conducted impartially and in line with our Editorial Policy.

What happens after I submit a complaint?

We will investigate promptly and provide a substantive response within five business days. If the complaint is complex, we may notify you of an extension and give a revised deadline.

If we find an error or a breach of our editorial standards, we will correct the article, add a note explaining the change, and update you. If the complaint is not upheld, we will explain our reasoning. In either case, we log the complaint and the actions taken for internal quality assurance.

What you can expect from us

We treat every complaint with seriousness and respect. Our process is independent, transparent, and guided by our commitment to trustworthy journalism.

You can expect a clear explanation of our findings, whether we agree or disagree with your concern. We do not dismiss complaints without review, and we never let commercial relationships influence our response. Our team follows the same fact‑checking and editorial standards that apply to all published content.

How do I escalate a complaint if I am not satisfied?

If you are dissatisfied with the initial outcome, you can escalate directly to Christian Busch, Chefredaktör. Email him at anders.lindqvist@morgenberich.de or call +46 8 525 030 61. Please include the original complaint reference and explain why you believe the handling was incomplete or incorrect.

Christian will personally review the case, consult the relevant team members, and issue a final decision. He aims to respond within seven business days. Should you still have concerns after this step, we encourage you to contact the Gibraltar regulatory authority or seek independent legal advice, though we hope our internal process resolves the matter.

Questions or concerns?
